PSP agents in Cascais save the life of an elderly woman beaten at home by her ex-husband

The intervention of two PSP agents from Cascais was necessary to save the life of an 84-year-old woman who, like cm reported Monday, Sunday her ex-husband, 94, hit her on the head with a bench in the house where she lived in Pared. The victim was unconscious and in cardiac arrest in a room that the assailant set on fire before surrendering to the PSP da Parede.

Maria Irene, deaf and mute and separated from Estevan, the aggressor, about ten years ago, became the target of agents’ resuscitation maneuvers. It was the intervention of the police that restored his heartbeat as well as his breathing.

When firefighters arrived, the elderly woman was unconscious but in stable condition. On Monday afternoon, Estevan was interrogated by a judge in the Court of Cascais.
