Ruben Amorim, the Sporting manager, returned on Wednesday to count on Chermiti, four days before the derby against Benfica.
The 18-year-old striker missed last year’s match against Maritimo (Leon’s 2-1 triumph) due to lower back pain. Thus, there may be an option to meet with an opponent.
However, the title in attack should be given to Paulinho. Or, alternatively, into a mobile attack front formed by Edwards, Trincao and Pote.
Separate passes for the match with Benfica are St. Petersburg. Juste and Giovane, both with muscle injuries. Daniel Braganza is in good shape but continues the process of reintegration after a long break due to a serious injury to his right knee.
Who also does not play with Benfica is the Spanish goalkeeper Adan, who was sent off in the last home game against the islanders. Franco Israel will have the mission of defending the gate from attacks by the eagles.
Amorim will give the team a day off this Thursday, with a return to work at Alcoshet scheduled for Friday.
