Bet of the week: Benfica with a tough or spoiled party in Alvalade?

Portuguese league, European leagues, games multiplied, but attention is on the Alvalade stadium. The dispute between Sporting and Benfica, round 32, the Lisbon derby, a game that can decide everything or start with everything decided – in case Porto loses on Saturday. Will Benfica become champions or will Sporting avenge their pride? Porto have a tough game in the Famalicana, while Maritimo are playing at home against Visela and Braga have a dangerous exit to Bessa.

In England, things could also be decided if Manchester City win at home against Chelsea, a London side in crisis, and shortly thereafter travel back to Manchester to face United who only want the Champions League. However, Brighton can upset Guardiola in the adjourned game of the 32nd round.

Portuguese Championship: the islanders want to hold the playoffs

Hint: Maritimo wins. The Islanders are in crisis, but they have scored nine goals in their last five games, Wiesel only two.

A game between teams that have gone through the best of times. Maritimo are up/down in the play-offs with three points more than Pacos de Ferreira and they need to score like bread in their mouths as they haven’t won in four games (three losses). Vizela is quietly in the middle of the table, but has not won five matches (also three defeats).

The initiative in the game must certainly belong to the islanders, who have several points of advantage over Minho. The locals have only scored two goals in their last five games, while the Maritimists have scored nine in the same period. The performance of the Funchal team in Alvalada, as well as football presented on a global scale, gives favoritism to Maritimu, who must attack everyone. The Betclic coefficient is very interesting.

Portuguese league: everything to be a great show

Saturday, May 20, 18:00

Hint: both teams to score (yes). At Bess, both sides scored in 62 percent of games.

A very difficult game for Minho’s team, who still haven’t mathematically secured third place. Braga visits Boavista, which is only 11th, but which at home in Besse is a tough nut to crack. In fact, the chess team is the seventh best team in the Portuguese league as hosts, having suffered only three defeats and winning the last three receptions. As it turns out, the Warriors are also strong on the road, with 12 wins in 16 games.

Other interesting data is added to this: Boavista have scored in 81% of their home games and 62 goals have come from both sides., with Braga winning 88 percent of their matches away from Pedreira. In a game where Boavista come out without pressure and Braga go looking for a goal (they scored five last game but conceded three), it is very likely that both teams will score and odd Betclic invites.

Portuguese league: the dragon is waiting for trouble

Saturday, May 20, 20:30

Tip: Porto/Draw and under 3.5 goals.. In only two games at the Famalicana and three visits to Porto, more than 3.5 goals have been scored.

Do you remember what a disaster the departure from the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup was? Porto won 2-1 at Famalicana but then lost 2-1 to Dragao in the 90th minute, and it wasn’t until extra time that everything was decided. Now the white and blue are returning home to one of the teams in the best shape in this championship and with a sword hanging over their heads. If they lose, Benfica automatically become champions and even a draw leaves the Eagles one point away from the title.

This pressure could cause problems for Porto against a team that has already shown they know what to do to face the football of national champions. Porto are the favourites, but we advise caution given the context of the match. So we offer Porto or a draw in a game with less than 3.5 goals. The Betclic odd is very good as it predicts two possible outcomes and shows a clear trend: Only three of Porto’s 16 away games have had over 3.5 goals, and only two of Famalicao’s 16 receptions.

Portuguese Championship: Benfica’s party or Sporting’s calluses?

Sunday, May 21, 20:30

Photo: gettyimages

Tip: Under 2.5 heads. Only two of Benfica’s last ten visits to Sporting have seen more than 2.5 goals scored.

The derbies between Sporting CP and Benfica are as tight as they are, with winning fans always ready to sting the losers, and this year they have the added flavor that Benfica could become champions in home of a great rival. or come to this game already with a title in your pocket. The truth is, the Eagles have the confidence that they can decide everything in the last round against last-placed Santa Clara, and that could work in the visitors’ favor.

As such, we believe that Benfica will enter the game very strongly, taking risks and aiming to score early, with Sporting expecting more. Whether this fact is enough to indicate the favoritism of the Reds, we do not know, but the record is inexorable: in the last ten visits to Alvalada, Benfica has lost only once and won five. However, we will run away from the result and look at the goals. Of those ten matches in Alvalada, only two were over 2.5 goals scored, so it’s worth taking advantage of Betclic’s excellent odds on under 2.5 goals.

Premier League: Citizens can ‘beat’ Chelsea

Sunday, May 21, 16:00

Photo: gettyimages

Tip: Manchester City and over 3.5 goals. City can be champions and score 3.3 goals per game at home.

Manchester City can already secure the Premier League title. One win is enough for Josep Guardiola’s team to become a three-time English champion, and this should happen as early as next Sunday. We say “should” because not only are City in top form, but their rivals are Chelsea, a multi-million dollar team that are vying for 11th in the table with just two wins in their last ten games.

City, the best attack and the best defense of the tournament, are 11 wins in a row and 14 games unbeaten, averaging 3.3 goals per game at home, and have everything to beat the amorphous, low-intensity Chelsea. I don’t know how to score goals. Our advice? City win and over 3.5 goals. Odd Betclic is torn.

Premier League: Brighton to eclipse City

Wednesday, May 24, 20:00

Photo: gettyimages

Hint: Brighton or Draw. Brighton are sixth, they are in good shape and City can change a lot.

The course of this game largely depends on what we discussed earlier. If City are already champions in the south of England, it is only natural that Pep Guardiola would make numerous changes to his starting XI in this late game of the 32nd round of the English League, and that in the face of the sensational Brighton could be deadly or, at the end eventually cause a headache.

Aside from a surprise 5-1 loss to Everton, Brighton’s season has been… “brilliant”. He is in sixth place and has everything for the European qualification, tends to cause a lot of problems for the giants of English football and if City slows down, the champion can come out of this game with a bad result. We are aiming for a double win or draw with Brighton and the Betclic odds are high.

Premier League: Chelsea bomb the party again

Thursday, May 25, 20:00

Photo: gettyimages

Hint: Manchester United and over 1.5 goals.. United’s favorite scores an average of 1.8 goals at Old Trafford.

A crucial matchup for Bruno Fernandes and United’s Diogo Dalot for a Champions League spot that could be another tough test for Chelsea. The Red Devils alternate high level performances with other bad ones and are much less regular than the Londoners, yes, the team that always maintains the same record… is impoverished.

United have been unbeaten at home since the first round and are on a four win streak at Old Trafford, while the Blues rarely aggregate wins and are in the middle of the table with just five wins from 17 trips. Manchester scores an average of 1.8 goals per game at home, so we celebrate a victory at home and over 1.5 goals.
