According to ADB data, climate finance in Africa is largely dominated by non-private actors.

In documents leading up to this year’s annual meetings, the bank mentions that of the 29.5 billion dollars (about 27.33 billion euros) of climate finance on the continent in 2020, only 14% came from private actors, much less than elsewhere. comparable regions such as Latin America. Americas and the Caribbean (49%), East Asia and the Pacific (39%) and South Asia (37%).
