Sporting Clube de Portugal reports that only 2,500 tickets scheduled for Sunday’s derby have been sold at SL Benfica. All other tickets were exclusive to club members.
Sporting CP emphasizes that this is not related to the sale of tickets to non-members.
At the direction of the security forces, SL Benfica supporters who were outside the zone assigned to them were sent to the side stand.
Sporting CP regrets the embarrassment, although it is not related to the sale of tickets to non-members of the club and the presence of fans in the side stand.
