Vinicius goes unpunished after being sent off against Valencia

Brazil’s Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid has not been penalized after being ejected against Valencia in a Spanish league game, the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Competitions Committee decided on Tuesday.

The Bezet striker was sent off in the last moments of the match against Valencia for allegedly attacking an opponent after he was subjected to racist insults by fans present at the Mestalla stadium.

The RFEF body believes that the evidence provided by Real Madrid means that the “veracity of the arbitration record” can be called into question.

The competition committee believes that the punishment “would be part of a permanent and complete impunity during the current season for various acts of physical and verbal aggression by opponents and fans against an excluded player, in the face of the passivity of the referee teams, RFEF and the League.”

“The work of the video referee cannot be classified as ‘human error’ as the image shown to the match referee to evaluate the action was completely biased, biased and defining the referee’s error,” cited the Competition Committee, which understands that the ejection “was unfair”, “ turning the victim into the aggressor.

The organization also mentions that two consecutive minutes were delivered and that only the second mentions the racist insults received by Vinicius Junior, even if they are “obviously insufficient for the reality of what happened” as only one supporter is mentioned calling the Brazilian “an ape”. “.

The Contest Commission communiqué noted that upon arrival at the stadium and at various points in the match, there were insults from a large number of fans, and not just one, as indicated in the arbitration protocol.

The insults inflicted on Vinicius were condemned by various circles, including the Brazilian government itself.
