Porto bounced back from a two-goal deficit this Friday but went no further than a 2-2 draw with Mafra in the first round game of the competition group played at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto.
The League II team began to surprise in the 16th minute when Ensa Fati opened the scoring in favor of Mafrenses and Gouy Ferreira converted a penalty in the 42nd minute, extending the lead even before the break.
Porto started the second half in the best possible way, with Pepe’s goal in the 48th minute, and even dreamed of a full reversal when Tony Martinez equalized in the 70th minute, but could no longer avoid drawing.
With this result, Group A closes the first round, in which all teams scored one point and the same number of goals after Desporvo de Chavez drew 2:2 at home to Wisela.
