Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, will leave AC Milan after Sunday’s last game in Serie A, the Italian club announced on Saturday.
“Tomorrow [no domingo] at night, after the last game of the season… Milan will say goodbye to Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a short ceremony,” the club said, also thanking the striker for “great moments together.”
Ibrahimovic, 41, joined AC Milan in 2019 and won the Rossoneri title with Portugal’s Rafael Leao last season.
The striker has barely played this season, missing more than four games, one as a starter and three as a substitute, due to injuries and after undergoing surgery on his left knee last May.
Despite a few minutes, Ibrahimovic, who scored in a 3-1 home defeat to Udinese, became the oldest player to score in Serie A.
In his career, the charismatic Swedish striker has already played for AC Milan between 2010 and 2012, as well as for Inter and Juventus.
Other clubs in the Swedish international’s career were Malmö, where he ended his career, Ajax, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy.
