Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic said goodbye this Sunday, aged 41, in tears from football, in the center of the San Siro pitch, in Milan, talking to fans and teammates at AC Milan.
This week, the Italian club has already announced that after the last game of Serie A, there will be a short farewell ceremony for Zlatan, who not only leaves the club, but also ends his playing career, which began in Malmö in 1999.
At the San Siro, after AC Milan beat Verona 3-1, in the last game without Ibrahimovic and with a brace from Portugal’s Rafael Leão, the Swede seized the moment to complete his farewell.
There were many tears as he said goodbye to the charismatic Swedish international, surrounded by his last teammates, all wearing Ibrahimovic’s name on the back.
Ibrahimovic moved to Milan in 2019, and last season, along with the Portuguese Rafael Leao, he became the champion in the Rossoneri.
The striker has barely played this season, missing more than four games, one as a starter and three as a substitute, due to injuries and after undergoing surgery on his left knee last May.
In his career, the charismatic Swedish striker has already played for AC Milan between 2010 and 2012, as well as for Inter and Juventus.
Other clubs in the Swedish international’s career were Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy.
A path that allowed him to win several important titles, including the championship of Spain, Italy, two Dutch, four French, the Europa League, the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup among other cups.
