Al-Sadd of Qatar on Monday officially announced the signing of Matheus Uribe, the Colombian midfielder who is leaving Porto.
Uribe, who has already dedicated himself to Al Sadd, said goodbye to the dragon fans in Jamor yesterday by winning the Portuguese Cup over Sp. Braga. Shortly after the match, Blue and White President Pinto da Costa confirmed his departure: “He has a great contract in Saudi Arabia and we knew for a long time that it was impossible to keep him, these are numbers that Portuguese football does not support. I’m sorry, he’s a great athlete and player,” he said.
Recall that Uribe, a 45-time Colombian international, arrived at Porto in August 2019, having traveled from America to Mexico. He played 175 games for Porto, scoring 15 goals and making eight assists.
