In the main hall of the Planalto Palace in Brasilia, where there is not a single seat left, the President of Brazil, along with his Vice President Geraldo Alkmin, Minister of Finance Fernando Haddad, Minister of the Environment Marina Silva. , indigenous peoples, Sonia Guajajara from Chief Raoni, among other things, assured that his government will do everything to reduce the loss of vegetation in the Amazon and achieve zero illegal deforestation by 2030.
“Today is a day to celebrate the lives of people, animals, forests, rivers,” the Brazilian president said, ensuring that “the environment has become a priority after four years of abandonment.”
