Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) regretted losing time on the bike during the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix sprint race, the sixth race of the season, due to a left shoulder injury this Saturday.
In statements released by the RNF team he participates in, Miguel Oliveira admitted that he felt “some weakness” in his shoulder and that he “had neither strength at the end nor resistance.”
“I tried very hard to steer the bike from left to right and that’s where I lost most of my time,” explained the Almada-born rider.
However, Miguel Oliveira admits that “running” is already a “great victory”.
The Portuguese driver finished Saturday’s sprint race in 12th place, having started from 18th on the grid.
“[Fazer] qualifying in the morning was a bit of a mixed bag. I was not able to make the most of the fastest lap due to the yellow flag situation on the second run. Tomorrow we have a lot of work to do. [domingo] and I hope we can get better,” Oliveira concluded.
