This Sunday, Joao Félix was booed and insulted upon arriving at the national team’s training camp in Espinho, Aveiro, at the hotel where the Portuguese retinue was staying.
Several fans waiting for the arrival of the national team headed towards João Félix when they noticed the presence of the Benfica player.
The player has been the subject of comments such as “lampião de m…”.
The young striker arrived in a car that was also followed by his father and mother, and some fans started a demonstration against the player from the Reds club, even hitting the roof of the car – although there was also applause.
Given the presence of the contestants, the car sped up and ended up with a child who was supposedly about to ask for an autograph.
The player realized the situation and asked his father to stop the car to see if everything was in order. After making sure that there were no problems, he continued the march.
