Georgian goals were scored by Giorgi Gagua in the 38th minute and Saba Sazonov in the 46th minute.

The team led by Rui Jorge tried to respond to Georgia’s goals, but to no avail. At the 76th minute, the task was complicated by the removal of defender Thomas Araujo.

In another group meeting, the game ended in a goalless draw, giving Belgium and the Netherlands one point more than Portugal.
