The areas of Évora, Faro, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, Beja and Portalegre will be under warning from 12:00 Friday to 18:00 Saturday due to continued high maximum temperatures.
A yellow warning, the least severe on a three-point scale, is issued by the IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain activities depending on weather conditions.
To date, forecasts indicate hot and dry weather due to the action of “an anticyclonic ridge between the Bay of Biscay and the Madeira archipelago that will cause a circulation that will bring air mass from North Africa.” .
A general increase in temperature values is expected, especially maximum ones, in most of the territory, with the exception of some places on the western coastal strip, values of above 30 degrees are expected, and values u200bu200bof 35 to 40 degrees. inside the country, especially in the southern region, where it is necessary to exceed 40 degrees.
