A 31-year-old mother has been accused of killing her own daughter after she left the 16-month-old baby alone at home to go on vacation for ten days. The minor died of dehydration at her home in Cleveland, USA.
According to police, Kristel Candelario left Jalyn for Puerto Rico and Detroit. NBK. Authorities confirm that “there were no signs of injury” but say the cause of the child’s death will be child abandonment.
“The child was at home alone and unsupervised for approximately 10 days and subsequently died,” the state police said in a statement.
The mother confirmed to the police that she had abandoned her daughter at home. When he arrived, he found the baby “extremely dehydrated” and with a crib full of “urine and feces,” the detective says.
Neighbors mentioned NBK, they said that Christelle had already asked them to take care of the minor on other occasions, and they didn’t understand why the mother didn’t do it this time.
