Portuguese hero who was stabbed in an attack on children in France is now recovering at home

Manuel da Ponte, the Portuguese hero who was stabbed while trying to save children during an attack in Annecy, France, where the Pombal man is an immigrant, has already been discharged from the hospital. The 72-year-old immigrant is at home. Recovery is expected to be long and difficult.

Manuel was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Portuguese man loves to walk with his wife in the garden of Annecy, and that’s exactly what he did on June 8th. It would seem that it was an ordinary afternoon, but the screams of the victims and witnesses did not leave anyone indifferent. It was there that Manuel tried to stop his attacker, a Syrian refugee, from harming other children. He ended up being stabbed by a man and accidentally shot dead by the French police. Six children and two adults were injured.

The Portuguese native is from Vermuil in Pombal and has been living in France for over 50 years. It was there that he started a family. However, he divided his life between Portugal and France. ABOUT cm he knows that a few days before the tragedy he was at home. He planned to stay briefly in France, but life went awry.

A Portuguese hero who risked his life to save several children. To be seen this Wednesday, on “CM Investigation”, from 9:30 pm.
