Porto officially extended Ivan Marcano until 2025 this Wednesday. The Spanish midfielder thus extends the bond that already linked him with the Dragons for another two seasons.
At the age of 36, Marcano begins his ninth season in the service of the dragons. He moved from Rubin Kazan in 2014 and remained at Porto until 2018 when he traveled to Italy to represent Roma. After a season with the Giallorossi, he returned to Invicta in July 2019.
Just one game away from finishing 250th with a dragon on his chest, Marcano remains the most prolific defenseman in Blue and White history with a total of 28 goals. To these, he adds five assists.
With Porto, Marcano has already won three national championships, three Portuguese Cups, a League Cup and a Super Cup.
