A fire broke out in a warehouse complex in Tentugal, Montemor-o-Velho this afternoon. The fire broke out in a warehouse for horticultural and forestry equipment, which is located next to the road connecting the city of Coimbra and Figueira da Foz.
The flame spread to the second warehouse of equipment and electrical materials. A third warehouse for materials for industry was also damaged. Although the flames did not reach the building, there is damage due to the heat.
There were 57 firefighters from Montemor o Velho, Coimbra, Mealhada and Sur, supported by 20 vehicles. There were also pre-hospital emergency teams from Montemor o Velho, members of the Portuguese Red Cross delegation and members of the INEM Emergency Medical and Resuscitation Team (VMER) who provided initial care to some of the staff.
