Eight people were arrested, seven for drug trafficking and one for possession of illegal weapons, as part of an operation at a festival held in Costa da Caparica, in the municipality of Almada, the GNR reported Tuesday.
The GNR statement said the detainees were between 20 and 28 years old and that 61 drug use reports were also filed during the police operation held at the Sumol Summer Fest 2023 from Thursday to Sunday.
In addition, the note says, 338 doses of cannabis, 19 doses of lyamba and brass knuckles were seized.
The operation carried out at the festival, which was attended by 265 military personnel from all directions, was aimed at ensuring the necessary security conditions for the event, as well as “fluid movement”.
Also, according to the GNR, the operation was reinforced by the Palmela Territorial Detachment, the Setubal Intervention Detachment, the Setubal, Carregado and Torres Vedras Transit Detachments, the Setubal Criminal Investigation Structure, the Intervention Unit and the Security and Honors Unit. states.
