“The growth figures in the women’s sector are notorious and are around 34% compared to the 2018/19 season. This season ended with 15,414 federated players,” the organization under the chairmanship of Fernando Gomez emphasized, specifying that this is more than 2,591 athletes than in the 2018/19 season. 2021/22.

The increase in the number of federated athletes in the FPF has been constant, with the exception of the 2020/21 season, due to the covid-19 pandemic. That season, the number of athletes decreased by 127,223, but the next season there was a recovery of 199,616 athletes.

According to data provided by the federal body, of the 217,379 federation players who completed the season, 178,285 are involved in football, 37,143 in futsal and 1,597 in beach soccer.

The Walking Football modality, which held its first national festival last weekend at Cidade do Futebol, already has 354 registered players in the FPF.
