11-year-old boy shot dead in shootout in Moita

An 11-year-old boy and a 24-year-old boy were injured Tuesday evening after a shootout in the union of the parishes of Baixa da Baneira and Vale da Amoreira in the municipality of Moita. The alarm was received by the authorities around 22:45.

The boy was shot in the arm when he was at his grandmother’s cafe, and another man, who was wounded in the leg, later appeared on the scene already wounded. The victims were taken to the hospital, and the 11-year-old boy has already been discharged, his grandmother said. cm.

According to the PSP, the origin of the shots is unknown, as are their perpetrators. No arrests were made.

“Given the nature of the facts, this situation has been brought to the attention of the competent authority of the criminal police for investigation,” said a source in the department. cm.
