The start of the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, which took place at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, was interrupted this Sunday due to rain and poor visibility for the drivers.
The race, which was supposed to start at 14:00 in Lisbon, was postponed due to weather conditions, and only at 14:25 the riders entered the formation lap behind the “safety car”, but the direction of the race showed a red flag and suspended the start of testing.
Now the cars are lined up in the pit lane and several drivers are complaining about poor visibility on the track. Earlier, Sergio Perez (Red Bull) crashed on a lap to put his car on the grid.
Dutch driver Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won his sixth F1 pole position of the season on Saturday after finishing fastest in qualifying, Britain’s George Russell (Williams) came in second and champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) – third.
