The Nice prosecutor’s office said on Thursday that Monaco’s French international Wissam Ben Yedder was the target of an alleged rape complaint in connection with a case reported to have taken place on Monday in Beausoleil.
Xavier Bonhomme, the Nice prosecutor, confirmed “two rape complaints with two victims directed against two people”, one of which is the 32-year-old Monaco striker, and the other target has not been identified.
The complaints were filed by two young women, aged 19 and 20, who claim they were “forced to perform sexual acts”, according to French press reports.
“Monaco has taken note of the information published today. [esta quinta-feira] about Wissam Ben Yedder. As the case is under litigation, the club cannot comment.”
