The ASAE has suspended 11 local hotels in Lisbon as part of an international operation to combat human trafficking and help illegal immigration, the organization said in a statement Tuesday.
“Based on the results of the action, six proceedings were initiated on administrative offenses and the suspension of eleven placements was determined, the main violations are the lack of registration, the lack of sanitary and hygienic conditions, the presence of pests, the lack of safety conditions and protection measures. , privacy violations, and capturing and recording images without proper authorization, among other things,” the agency explains.
Operation Belen was aimed at eliminating the criminal community responsible for the movement of illegal immigrants in Europe and the Schengen area.
