The Sacramento Kings have submitted a “qualifying offer” to Nimias Kwete, but that doesn’t mean the Portuguese pole will continue in California and the NBA, not least because there are interests in Europe.
Serbian media reports that Partizan, one of the strongest teams in the Euroleague, has Kvetu on their list of targets and that he may propose to the 23-year-old Portuguese in the near future.
That was the day the Kings hired Noel Nerlens, leaving them with four positions on the roster: in addition to the former Nets player, there are Domantas Sabonis, Alex Len and Neemias, who has much less space. And that’s not counting Sasha Vezenkov, the MVP of the Euroleague, who moved from Olympiacos and plays in position 4.
Partizan, led by the legendary Zelimir Obradovic, should soon announce Nikola Mirotic as one of the best basketball players in Europe. If Neemias moves to the Belgrade club, he could form a formidable domestic duo with the Spanish-Montenegrin, who has shone at Barcelona in recent years.
