World pop star Ed Sheeran received an invitation to a five-year-old fan’s birthday party and responded with a beautiful gesture.
According to the boy’s mother, Alexandra Lamoreau, five-year-old Ren is “obsessed” with the British singer and wanted to throw a themed party for his sixth birthday with decorations and cakes hinting at the pop star. A five-year-old boy asked his mother to invite Ed Sheeran.
In the video, which has already over 8 million views on Tik Tok, Ren not only says that Ed Sheeran is going to his party, but also adds that the British will offer him a microphone. “We invited him, of course he will come [à festa]”, it says.
At the end of the video, the mother jokingly encourages Ed Sheeran to show up at the party or send a microphone to her son.
Many users indicated the British singer in the comments to the publication, asking the singer to respond to Ren’s invitation.
This Tuesday, Alexandra posted a video to the same social media site of herself showing her son Ren next to a blue box that says “From: Ed To: Ren.”
Little Ren couldn’t believe it. Ed Sheeran sent him a birthday present.
The singer gave the child a guitar, as well as an autographed CD, a soft toy, a microphone and a T-shirt. Ed Sheeran also left a handwritten note apologizing for not being able to attend the party.
“Ren, I’m sorry I missed your birthday, I hope it went well. Here is a notebook, a microphone and a guitar so you can start writing songs like me,” wrote the British singer.
The video ends with the boy singing British songs into the offered microphone. “This has to be one of the best experiences of our entire lives,” Lamoreau wrote in the post.
The boy’s mother thanked the singer and the team for the gesture.
