The suspect is a Romanian man in his 40s who has lived in Portugal for at least ten years. The victim was the oldest employee in that company.
for what cm failed to establish, the authorities’ investigation indicates that the shot must have been accidental. It was about 2:00 pm when the alarm went off.
The suspect fled, but was quickly intercepted by the GNR. INEM was also contacted, but, despite efforts, they pronounced him dead on the spot.
The case is now under the jurisdiction of the judicial police.
