Benfica beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nasr.

This Thursday, Benfica thrashed Saudi Al-Nasr 4-1, the third triumph in three pre-season games by the Portuguese First League football team marked by Gonçalo Ramos’ double.

In the second game of the Algarve Trophy, at the Algarve Stadium, in front of 20,000 people, Di Maria (23 minutes), Gonzalo Ramos (31 and 38) and Sjelderup (68) scored for the “embodied”, who showed a lot of quality in the first half.

Khaled, in the 42nd minute, signed the only goal for the team, which was coached by the Portuguese Luis Castro, in which Cristiano Ronaldo played 84 minutes.

Benfica, who have already beaten Southampton (2-0) and Basel (3-1) this pre-season, on Friday at 20:30 at the Algarve stadium will discuss the victory in the tournament over the Spaniards of Celta de Vigo, who also defeated the Saudis (5-0) on Monday.

The Incarnations lined up in the usual 4-4-2 with Vlachodimos, Bach, António Silva (with the captain’s armband), Morato and Jurasek in defence, Joao Neves, Kokchu, Di Maria and Neres in midfield, and Rafa and Goncalo Ramos in attack, in an “eleven” with an offensive bias, no declared “6” and no usual middle. field balance, occupying one of the wings.

Al-Nasr only needed 24 seconds to create the first dangerous move in the counterattack when João Neves appeared at Chas chas to strike Talisca, who was Cristiano Ronaldo’s attacking partner.

The strong dynamics of the first minutes was felt in Benfica’s instant reaction, in which António Silva headed a header after a corner kick (four minutes), Cristiano Ronaldo’s kick, which ran many meters and already in a small area, hit Vlachimos’s “tight” defense (eight), as well as in Di Maria’s attempt to land a “hat” from the center of the field, which almost scored a goal (12).

The Incarnations, with the high pressure and possession pattern already seen last season, took control of the game and after threats from Rafa (15) and Jurasek (19), Di Maria opened the scoring for the second meeting in a row to score, with a great finish after the table with Rafa (23).

In view of their strong dominance, it is not surprising that Schmidt’s team increased the advantage by making a “double” of Gonzalo Ramos half an hour later (31st and 38th), served in both moves by Rafa and Bah, but Al-Nasr reduced the difference in Khaled’s counterattack after the Talisca pass (42nd).

Roger Schmidt changed eleven at half-time, calling up Samuel Soares, Joao Victor, Lucas Verissimo, Tomas Araujo, Ristic, Florentino, Chiquinho, Joao Mario, Orsnes, Schelderup and Musa.

With more defensive midfielders and fewer destroyers, Benfica continued to have possession but significantly slowed down the pace shown in the first half.

There was no danger until the 68th minute, when the Norwegian Sjelderup scored his debut goal for the national champions, reloading a Ristic shot saved by Nawaf.

Before the final whistle, goalkeeper Samuel Soares had time to steal a goal from an isolated Cristiano Ronaldo (80) and Chiquinho in an attempt to miss a noisy opportunity (86).

When marking a penalty after playing a possible tie-break, the final classification of the Algarve Trophy was a draw (5-5).
