The national team and Switzerland will meet on Tuesday afternoon at the Lusail Stadium in the round of 16 match of the World Cup in Qatar.
At the moment, the Swiss national team has the best balance for all matches against Portugal. In total, out of 25 games played, the Keane has nine wins, five draws and eleven losses.
The last clash between the two teams took place this year, counting the League of Nations, in which Switzerland won by a zero score. Before that meeting, Portugal won three consecutive victories over the Swiss.
The history between Portugal and Switzerland began in 1938 with three defeats against the Portuguese team, who only won their first victory in 1942 with a 3–0 win in a friendly game.
The meeting on Tuesday will be the first meeting at the World Championships between the two teams.
