Dane Jonas Wingegaard (Jumbo) confirmed this Sunday a convincing victory at the 110th stage of the Tour de France, the second in a row, leaving 7.29 minutes behind Tadej Pogacar (UAE), who was the main hero who attacked the peloton already on the streets of Paris.
This Sunday’s tirade was a tribute to Vingegor, who announced his participation in the Tour of Spain. On the 115.1 km between Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the Champs-Élysées, he had time to drink champagne, chat and take pictures with the cyclists who finished the race. He eventually crossed the finish line in a group hug with his teammates. The stage was treated as a sprint: the Belgian Jordi Meus (Bora) defeated Jasper Philipsen (Alpesin), who won the jersey on points. Giulio Ciccone won the mountain jersey; Pogacar – youth, and the Belgian Victor Kampenarts – militancy. Nelson Oliveira finished the Tour in 52nd and Rui Costa finished in 67th. Next year the tour will end in Nice with a “chronograph”.
