With the end of World Youth Day (WYD), it’s time to clean up the city.

The Municipality of Lisbon, through its Vice President Filipe Anacoreto Correia, has launched an open tender for the recruitment of teams to integrate the city’s cleaning and waste collection services.

The value of the contract is about 500,000 euros and the contract is valid for 19 days: from 24 July to 11 August. Also on Tuesday, the municipality of Loures announced that it had begun a debris removal operation from the Jornada site.

On a total area corresponding to 75 hectares of land, work is being carried out by dismounted teams of one hundred people, seven cargo vans, 13 trucks and two backhoe loaders.
