A 26-year-old psychology student was arrested this Wednesday in Foz do Iguaçu, in the Brazilian state of Parana, on charges of being one of Brazil’s biggest pedophiles. According to police, a university student personally or virtually abused or raped more than 300 children under the age of 14.
The accused, according to Paraná’s civil police (judiciary) and federal police, who acted together to arrest the sex maniac, approached his victims through virtual games, using false profiles and language that also made him look underage, and offered rewards , such as the virtual currencies so desired by Internet users. In his home, agents found 1,700 child pornography files and 350 images of himself as the main character of abuse and rape.
According to investigators, the pedophile used the knowledge of psychology obtained at the university to approach children and convince them to satisfy their sexual desires. He made video calls to victims and urged them to perform sexual acts with objects from his own home, and recorded everything that showed both his victims’ faces and his own face, as well as the expressions of satisfaction and pleasure he made.
Another form of action revealed by the joint investigation of the two policemen was luring the victims to his home, where he raped them in various ways, recording everything in detail. The pedophile was charged with rape, sexual assault of a vulnerable person, virtual sexual assault, production of child pornography and possession of pornographic material involving minors.
The parents of the victims were not even aware of the abuse and humiliation that the children were subjected to, as minors tend to sit at a computer or mobile phone for hours. That’s why the police are warning parents of children and teenagers, often happy that their children are having fun and not getting in their way, to watch what minors have access to on the Internet.
