Portugese striker Youssef Cermiti, who has played for Sporting, will be Everton’s new season’s strength by joining Liverpool alongside compatriots Joao Virginia and Andre Gomes, announced this Friday as the emblem of the English Football League.
The 19-year-old has signed a four-year contract and will be linked with the club until June 2027, according to Everton.
Chermiti spent most of his youth training at Sporting CP and was featured in the Lions first team last season, making 22 appearances and scoring three goals.
Details of the deal were not disclosed, but according to the sports press, Everton paid around 15 million euros (ME) – plus five ME in variables – to sign the Porto-born player who comes from a family of Tunisian origin. .
Everton ended the 2022/23 season in 17th place in the Premier League and only escaped relegation in the last round of the tournament.
