This Monday, a video was taken of a courier driving on the A28 motorway in Matosinhos. The fine can be up to 600 euros.
The moment was recorded by the driver at 12:54 on Monday. The courier, who was wearing a thermal backpack from the delivery company Glovo, was traveling between Matosinhos and Lesa da Palmeira on the second lane on the right. The video was circulated on social media.
The rules of the road equate scooters to bicycles and contain clear rules: “Pedestrians, animals, horse-drawn vehicles, bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles and tricycles with a cylinder capacity of not more than 50 cm3 are prohibited on motorways and entrances to them with appropriate signs , quad bikes, agricultural vehicles, tourist trains, and vehicles or combinations of vehicles that are unlikely to reach speeds above 60 km/h or for which a maximum speed equal to or less than this value is set. The speed limit on this section of the A28 is 100 km/h.
Violation of the motorway traffic rules set out in Article 72 of the Road Code is punishable by a fine of between 120 and 600 euros.
