Princes George and Charlotte said goodbye to great-grandmother Elizabeth II

Princes William and Kate of Wales did not want to leave their children Charlotte and George for a final farewell to great-grandmother Elizabeth II.

This Monday, the day was marked by several ceremonies as Prince George, 9, and little Charlotte, 7, traveled to Westminster Abbey in London.

The children arrived in the same car as their mother Kate Middleton and the Queen Consort. Camilla Parker Bowles.

Dressed in black, George showed himself with a serious look, and Charlotte, also with a sad look, presented herself in a black hat and a dress of the same color. The youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, four-year-old Louis, did not attend the funeral.

During the Queen’s final farewell, thousands of Britons cheered and threw flowers as the procession passed.

The images move the world and represent millions of Britons mourning the death of a monarch who passed away at the age of 96.
