Sporting CP have extended the contract of football player Gonçalo Inacio, the 21-year-old central defender with whom the entire formation at the club will be linked until June 2027, this Thursday Alvalade’s emblem was published on its official website.
In addition to a new contract (the previous one ended in 2026), the Portuguese footballer (two games) now has a €60m termination clause.
“It is a great pride to continue with a lion on my chest, many years have passed, and I am very happy to be and stay here. I hope there will be more,” Inacio said in statements released by Sporting.
Since joining the first team in 2020/21, the centre-back has made 123 appearances and scored 11 goals, winning Ligue 1, two League Cups and a Super Cup, all under manager Rubén Amorim.
“Now it’s about continuing to work like I’ve always done and getting more trophies. Since I came to Sporting, this symbol has been of great importance. I want to get better and better and I want to be an example for the youth. , just like I saw the elders,” he admitted.
This is the third update of the Sporting players in recent days after Nuno Santos and Pedro Gonçalves also renewed their association with the Alvalade badge.
