The Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) will award the clubs with the best stadium occupancy rate as part of the O Futebol és Tu initiative, as announced this Friday by the organization.
The assists award, which will be awarded every four days in both League I and II, aims to recognize the emblems that show the best capacity in their stadium, with at least two games played on their court.
“At the end of the season, a global award will also be awarded for this topic, i.e. the sports society with the highest occupancy rate throughout the season will be recognized,” the Portuguese League said in a statement.
The body that oversees professional football also mentions that it has two more awards that can be awarded when justified to highlight actions to unite fans by awarding them the Futebol és Tu award and the Estádio award, which will honor the works, aimed at improving infrastructure.
“These two awards will be offered by a panel of judges made up of the League of Portugal, fully imbued with this common goal to provide fans with the best possible experience by bringing professional football closer to those who love it – the fans,” he said. adds.
The LPFP’s recognition of the sports associations with the best stadium occupancy rates is part of a set of measures to encourage families and fans to return to the stadiums in the 2023/24 season under the motto O Futebol és Tu.
