Three of the four firefighters from Vila Mean who were injured in an accident on Tuesday as they were heading towards the Bayan fire remain hospitalized at Penafiel Hospital with a “favorable development”, according to a hospital source.

The firefighter who suffered the most serious injuries underwent surgery on Tuesday and is currently recovering in an intermediate care unit.
The other two are under observation in the surgical department, the same source at the hospital said.
The fourth wounded man was already discharged on Tuesday.
