Lateral Sanchez to move to Dragao on loan

The 25-year-old Mexican striker is due to join Dragao on loan, leaving SAD with a mandatory £5.5m buy option if the player plays at least 25 games. With this signing, Sergio Conceisan wants to permanently secure Pepe in more offensive positions, which were weakened after Otavio went to the Al-Nasr Arabs.

Sanchez made 25 appearances for Ajax last season (3 goals and 3 assists). He won the bronze medal for Mexico at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was also in the starting line-up for the World Cup in Qatar, as well as the recent Gold Cup which the Aztecs won by beating Panama 1-0 in the final.

Praise Marcano for the onslaught

Marcano’s goal, which brought victory (2:1) in the final moments of the game against Farense, was highly appreciated by Porto fans. The onslaught of the captain (36 years old) into the Algarve zone began in the blue midfield and ended only with a winning header.

Return to Vila do Conde

Pepe (pictured) and Wendell have already served their respective sentences and are scheduled to return to Porto the next day at the Rio Ave Stadium (Monday, 20:15). Evanilson, Veron and Baro ruled out with injuries.
