New images posted on social media Tuesday cast doubt on the dispute between Luis Rubiales and Jenny Hermoso’s kiss at the end of the Women’s World Cup. The soccer player appears in the video laughing and joking about the moment of the kiss along with her teammates.
Jenny Hermoso jokingly compares this situation to the episode between Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero, when the latter was a journalist and interviewed the former goalkeeper after winning the men’s world championship in 2010.
Recall that the Spanish national team won the Women’s World Cup and that during the celebration, Luis Rubiales kissed the striker on the lips. For Rubiales, the kiss was “consensual” and “spontaneous”, however the player denies this version of events.
