Al Ittihad’s Nuno Espirito Santo hired Luis Felipe from Real Betis

Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, coached by Portugal’s Nuno Espirito Santo, and Spaniards from Betis reached an agreement this Thursday for the transfer of Italian-Brazilian footballer Luis Felipe.

The 26-year-old central defender spent just one season in Andalusia after six seasons with Italian Lazio.

Luis Felipe even represented the Brazilian under-23 national teams, but in 2022 he moved to the Italian national team, which at that time was called up by coach Roberto Mancini.

The parties did not disclose the amounts in question, however, some Brazilian media spoke of an amount of around 25 million euros plus additional targets.

The 26-year-old will join Portuguese striker Jota, French striker Benzema and French midfielder N’Golo Kante, among others.
