Benfica President Rui Costa was elected this Thursday for a four-year term, from 2023 to 2027, in the administration of the European Clubs Association (ECA), the Lisbon club said.
Ruy Costa joins the administration of the organization, which is headed by Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, recognized by UEFA and FIFA as the only independent representative of European-level football clubs.
In March 2022, Eagles administrator Domingos Soares de Oliveira, who will be leaving the club, was elected to the ECA’s executive board, replacing then Miguel Moreira, the former Eagles administrator.
The 30th ESA General Meeting took place in Berlin from Tuesday to Thursday.
