There are two fronts: one near the houses, the other from Zorro.

A source from the Sub-Regional Command of the Coimbra Region told Luza at 22:10 that the fire was still active and that one of the fronts was large, next to EN17, Estrada da Beira.

The fighting is going well and the fighting forces hope to get the fire under control at night, he added.

While fighting the blaze, two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and are considered minor injuries, Nuno Seixas, 2nd Commander of the Sub-Regional Command of the Coimbra Region, said in a statement to RTP.

The fire engine was damaged during the day. The car belongs to the volunteer firefighters of Condeixa a Nova. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.

Thiago Picao, the head of this corporation, explained cm that due to a sudden change in the wind, the car caught fire. The operatives fled the scene.

The truck was reportedly on fire for several minutes. After this time, the firefighters returned to the truck, which is again in the theater of operations.

At 11:10 p.m., 693 firefighters from various corporations were on the scene, supported by 205 vehicles.
