The search was concentrated in the Alberche River area, where after water levels dropped, excavators were used to remove vegetation and soil to facilitate the use of trained dogs to search for bodies.
The 50-year-old man was accompanied by his wife and two children during the storm: a girl and a ten-year-old child, who were rescued alive Monday morning, clinging to a tree branch and suffering from hypothermia. .
The woman was rescued on Sunday evening, and the couple’s daughter managed to get to the local fire station without assistance.
In Toledo, where three people have died due to heavy rains, the Civil Guard continues to search for a woman who disappeared on Sunday after she was swept away by river waters while driving on a road near the municipality of Valmojado.
