A car chase by the PNP of a pair of hooded men suspected of robbing the Sever do Vouga Post Office and Parish Council this Wednesday at point-blank range ended with the arrest of one of the robbers. The other man managed to escape into a wooded area and is in an undetermined area.
The persons committed after the robberies in Sever do Vouga were seen in Vale de Cambra. After the chase, the suspects’ car stopped due to a blown tire. The two suspects fled on foot, but one of the men was detained by authorities.
The duo are suspected of committing several armed robberies over the past month in several municipalities of the Aveiro district, namely Albergaria a Velha, Oliveira de Azemeis, Ovar and Estarreya.
The case was transferred to the Judicial Police of Aveiro.
