Jorge Mendes offers Sporting player to Real Madrid

Businessman Jorge Mendes offered Pote to Real Madrid this summer at a bargain price as he was asking for €40 million with the release clause set at double the €80 million.

The news was published on Wednesday by the Spanish website Defensacentral.com, which claims to be the voice of Real Madrid. The Portuguese super agent even met with Florentino Perez to introduce the player, who scored points thanks to a good campaign in the League, the Champions League and then the cap from Arsenal, in the Europa League quarters that ruled the world.

Jorge Mendes took over the negotiations and assured the Spanish director that for €40 million the Lions would be willing to sit down and talk about a transfer.

The Lions were forced to sell to cope with the lack of Champions League revenue, which they did with Ugarte leaving for PSG for €60 million and Porro (he left in January) for Tottenham for €45 million. The cup was also in demand by English teams.

The trio returns to Moreirense
Gonçalo Inácio (Portugal), Jylmand (Denmark) and Morita (Japan) were already at Sporting’s training session on Wednesday after playing for their national teams and could feature in Sunday’s game against Moreirense, which will be refereed by Manuel Oliveira.

The movement wants a lion to participate in the revolution
The Sport Today and Always movement wants Frederico Varandas to lead a revolution in Portuguese football in the face of “countless abuses of sporting truth” seen in the first four rounds of the championship.
