Poels confirms Kuss’ victory

Dutch cyclist Wout Poels (Bahrain) won the sprint this Saturday from Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step) on the 20th and penultimate stage of the Tour of Spain. But the image that remains is the arrival of the miracle trio Jumbo at the finish line: Sepp Kuss, race leader and virtual winner, finished this Saturday’s stage, accompanied by his two teammates Jonas Wingegaard and Primož Roglič, who pointed out to him great credit the fact that we managed to win the grand tour for the first time.

“It was a special moment to experience this with two of my comrades. I’m almost there,” said 29-year-old American Sepp Kuss at the end of his speech. This Sunday will be dedicated in Madrid.

On the 207.8-kilometer stretch between Manzanares el Real and Guadarrama, the escape was successful and Wout Poels gained the upper hand over Evenepoel. Portugal’s Rui Costa was sixth in 26 minutes. Overall, João Almeida remains in 9th position.
