A woman is accusing actor and comedian Russell Brand of seducing and assaulting her when she was just 16 years old.
According to an investigation cited by the Daily Mail, Alice (not her real name) claims she was in an “emotionally abusive and controlling relationship” with Brand when he was 31, for about three months.
Alice claims the actor took her virginity, was “concerned” that she was “innocent and pure” and called her a “child”. The woman says Brand helped her make up lies to deceive her parents and that the actor wanted her to hide their relationship from her friends.
Alice accuses Brand of kissing her mother and trying to rape her, only stopping when she punched him in the stomach.
According to the Daily Mail, Russell Brand is accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse. Four women accuse the actor of sexual misconduct between 2006 and 2013, when he was at the height of his fame. Brand also faces charges of controlling, abusive and predatory conduct.
The British actor and comedian denies the allegations and recently said that the entire relationship was consensual. Brand also accused the media of a “coordinated attack.”
