The road safety campaign “Cinto-me Vivo” recorded more than 11 thousand violations in one week, of which 714 were related to the use of seat belts, helmets and child seats.
According to a report published on Tuesday by the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), responsible for the operation along with the Public Security Police (PSP) and the National Republican Guard (GNR), they were checked in person between September 12th. and 18th place – 47,043 vehicles, with security forces detecting 11,171 violations.
GNR inspected the most vehicles (32,239) and also recorded the highest number of violations – 6,678, of which 588 were related to safety devices, the correct use of which was the main focus of the operation. PSP monitored 14,804 vehicles and reported 4,493 violations, of which 126 were related to seat belts, helmets or car seats.
